Registration
You can register as a member of the "Städtische Bibliotheken Dresden"
(Dresden Public Libraries) at the registration desk of any network library.
Adults are required to show either their identity card or another officially
acknowledged document (with photograph) in combination with a letter of confirmation
issued by the registration office.
Young adults aged 14 and 15 have to produce a copy of one of their parents'
identity card.
The registration of children under the age of 14 requires the signature of one
parent.

Issue slip
You will receive an issue slip containing a list of the borrowed items and the date when they are due to be returned when you borrow your items.
Renewal of loan period
You are given the opportunity to renew the loan period of your borrowed
item(s) once, provided that the item(s) has/have not been reserved and you have not
been sent an overdue notice.
You can either renew your loan in person or by phone in all libraries of the
network. Furthermore, you are able to renew your items via your user account, which
you can access via the
catalogue of the "Städtische Bibliotheken"
(Dresden Public Library).
Returning your items
You can return the borrowed items to any library of our network. If you return the borrowed items in any other than the holding library, you will be charged a fee of 0,10 Euro (per item) for the return transport.
Overdue fees
In case you miss the due date of return, you are required to pay overdue fees based upon a fixed charge per day.

You are able to find the exact due date of return on your issue slip, which you receive for every borrowed item.
In order to remind you of the date of return, we send you an overdue notice after the loan period is over.
